Solutions for Demanding Business
Stanice technických služeb s.r.o. (Technical Services Station, LLC) with a seat at Tupadly in Čáslav Region became another remarkable customer of the Helios Orange system at the very end of 2009.
The company STS s.r.o. was established in late 1991. Its scope of activities was gradually expanding to cover seven main fields:
With such a variety of activities the company naturally cannot do without being supported by a superior information system. From the very beginnning the company used its own company software, which, although custom-made, was created by a sole programmer and moreover in the nowadays obsolete DOS environment. The company also partially utilized economic programs by various producers, again created in the DOS environment and without a possibility of subsequent development.
„The DOS environment, economic modules by various producers, between which there were lengthy and demanding data conversions and duplicities of primary data entry, heterogeneous and very often also highly different handling of such an inhomogeneous information system - these were the main reasons for replacing such an information system with a single, modern and modular one. This would make both information processing and mainly output information gain simpler, faster and more transparent. Of course the new system was to cover all the production and business activities of our company,“ says Petr Beneš, STS Legal Executive.
Among the key requirements ranked above all the complexity of the system by keeping individual requests of the particular company centers, detailed internal accounting, high level of user accommodation according to users´ demands and support of production processes and a number of further partial fields.
The Helios Orange information system was able to meet the above-mentioned requirements fully and in certain cases even to exceed them.
In October 2 009 an „Initial Study for the Implementation of the Helios Orange Information System at STS s.r.o.“ was elaborated. It featured a detailed description of individual processes inside the company. Another key element of the Initial Study was the administration of requests. The technical preparedness of the company for the new information system was evaluated and the work schedule and also the draft of the configuration of the Helios Orange information system licence were determined.
In early November 2009 a Contract on the Implementation of the Information System was signed conjointly with a Contract on the Helios Orange Licence Delivery. Immediately after this the actual implementation of the information system in compliance with the work schedule from the Initial Study was started. The official termination and handover into a routine operation took place on 1 May 2010. However, the system has been running at the company since 1 January 2010, but without some specific modules and management reports, which were gradually handed over in the first half of 2010.
The implementation exactly followed the determined milestones from the Initial Study and was divided into the following stages: assurance of the technical conditions of the information system operation, installation and parameterization of the system, training, trial operation, sharp operation and routine operation. The key request of the customer consisted in ensuring the sharp operation from 1 January 2010 predominantly in the fields of economy, business and logistics. By 1 May 2010, when the system was handed over into the routine operation, partial agenda sets and management reports had been completed too.
„From our point of view as information system´s provider the implementation based on a pre-elaborated, very extensive and by both parties perfectly executed initial study was a routine issue,“ says Ing. Jaromír Zajíček of the company HARPAGON Software s.r.o., head of the provider´s implementation team.
At STS Tupadly The Helios Orange system is used by the total of 15 users in the fields of Economy, Warehouses, Business and Invoicing. The module Managerial Evaluation covers these fields and thus provides the corporate management with an exact picture of the economy and performance of individual centers.
The company was established in 1991 and in 1998 it took over premises after the former Strojní traktorová stanice (Machine and Tractor Station) Uhlířské Janovice at Tupadly. In 2003 the seat of the company was transferred from Čáslav to Tupadly. The centers of metal manufacturing, electrical installation and water installation are still in function. In recent years the company has participated in a lot of successful projects and has cooperated with both large-scale and small-sized companies. At present it is able to offer every client a broad array of services.
