2008: ASSECO Group Reached Record Results in Both the Czech Republic and in Slovakia | 03. 03. 2009

Prague, 3 March 2009 – The Central-European ICT group ASSECO announced the 2008 economic results today. Asseco Slovakia together with Asseco Czech Republic, LCS International, Datalock and their daughter companies reached according to the international accounting standards IFRS the consolidated revenues of almost SKK 4,55 billion (EUR 148 million), which is an eighty-percent increase in comparison with the previous year. Besides this the Group reached almost a double net profit in the year-to-year comparison. Its amount totalled SKK 419 million (EUR 14 million).

Jozef Klein , Asseco Slovakia General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors, comments on these facts: „I consider the results of the Group in the Czech and Slovak Republic to be very positive. Our companies fared well on these markets in spite of a not very good local economic situation. By the end of 2009 I expect the increase in the Group´s turnover of further 5-15%.“

The last – and very successful – year was for the ASSECO Group in these countries a clear proof of a growing trend, which was apparent with all its members already in the previous period.

Asseco Slovakia

In 2008 this significant system integrator and provider of IT solutions marked a considerable improvement in all financial indicators. Its consolidated revenues reached SKK 4,463 billion, which is more by 80% than in the previous year, net profit totalled SKK 419 million (increase of 82%). The growth was caused not only by the acquisitions within the Group, but also by the realization of large European projects in the fields of banking, insurance and healthcare. The transition to the new national currency Euro was another positive factor. In 2008 the company ranked among ten most successful companies in Europe in the project European Business Awards 2009.

Asseco Czech Republic

Last year this leading provider of comprehensive solutions and services in the field of information technologies in the Czech Republic reached consolidated revenues of CZK 1,474 billion (in 2007 it was CZK 1,157 billion, thus there was an increase of 27%). Its net profit grew by 21% to CZK 128 million (in 2007 it was CZK 106 million). The grounds for these positive results lie above all in the superior work on the existing projects and in the development of business activities. Last year the company got new orders amounting to over CZK 640 million. Of the most important ones let´s mention just the migration of the digital tachograph system for the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, the visa information system for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic or the information system of crisis management for the Capital of Prague. In May 2008 it completed the acquisition process of LCS and at the end of the year of the company Berit too. The latter has been in the full ownership of Asseco Czech Republic since 1 January 2009.

DATALOCK

In 2008 the company DATALOCK, one of the leading Slovak companies in the field of software development, especially ERP systems, posted the revenues of SKK 342 million (EUR 11 million) and the net profit of almost SKK 35 million (EUR 1,1 million), which represents a year-to-year increase of 16% and 22%,respectively. This record increase was the result of a suitably selected business strategy. Another contributing factor was a strong clientele, featuring over 5000 subjects, e.g. GG Tabak Barczi, Sperian Protection Footwear Slovakia or Towercom.

LCS International

For one of three most important producers of ERP systems on the Czech market the year 2008 was financially the most successful since its establishment. The total revenues reached CZK 325 million, which is more by 14% in comparison with 2007. The net profit of the company totalled in this period CZK 22 million (a 22-percent increase in comparison with 2007). The economic results were mainly influenced by the segment of smaller and medium-sized companies. This also showed in the independent survey of Centrum pro výzkum informačních systémů (CVIS, Center for Information Systems Research), according to which the Helios Orange system has been an absolute leader of this market for several years. Among the key accounts having entered the pool of LCS clients rank the companies Phoenix Zeppelin, Strojírny Poldi, Adecco, Tiscali or AAA byty.
