Delicate Information Systems Heading for Czech Hotels and Restaurants | 02. 10. 2009

Specialized information systems for gastronomic and accommodation facilities by the Slovak Asseco Solutions – Datalock Horec a Datalock BlueGastro – have been available for Czech hotels and restaurants since autumn 2009 too. This fact was presented by Asseco Solutions representatives at a press conference held on 1 October 2009.

Besides Ivana Šilerová, Product Manager of both the systems, and Dušan Lapčík, Asseco Solutions Business Director, was the press conference attended also by Václav Stárek, Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Czech Republic General Secretary. He expressed his conviction that nowadays no single type of business, hotels and restaurants being no exception, can do without software, and that mainly the young generation takes IT for a natural part of life.

Both the systems, which were introduced more closely by Ms. Šilerová, are by no means novelties in the sphere of accommodation and catering facilities in Slovakia. Nevertheless they have been utilized only sparsely in the Czech Republic by now. On the Slovak market Datalock Horec has been successful in the hotel industry for over fifteen years and Datalock BlueGastro has become a very popular and widespread system among catering facilities in the course of its five-year existence.

The former helps the reception staff in carrying out daily activities. It makes compulsory records more simple and better-arranged, provides exact information on guests, their needs and wishes. It creates price lists and booking of areas and services flexibly. The interactive graphic lists of rooms and floors are highly popular, online booking via the Internet is naturally included too. Datalock Horec is built on a three-layer architecture by using the database ORACLE. It is open to new possibilities and it makes possible to handle the system from any place in the world via the Internet.

Datalock BlueGastro covers all the activities of gastronomic operation - it features stock control, production module (recipes and finished products), sales via touch-monitor cash desks and mobile waiters (PDA), loyalty system, records of staff catering, multi-level control of operation etc. It is suitable for both independent premises and restaurant chains. The system is inspired by contemporary gastronomic trends and equipped with modern technologies. It is built on a three-layer architecture based on the database ORACLE. The access to data can be provided via the Internet from virtually anywhere.
